Every chair is crafted by hand in the USA, using kiln-dried hardwood frames, feather-and-down cushioning, optional eight-way hand-tied suspension, and full-grain leathers finished in Italy or aniline nubuck from New Zealand. Each piece is built to order, allowing you to select the ideal size, leather, and comfort profile for your home. What types of leather do you offer?

Our leather selections include premium full-grain leathers finished in Italy and aniline nubuck from New Zealand, with finishes like wax-pull-up, matte waxy oiled pull-up, nubuck with hints of suede-like texture, and natural pebble grain. These include distinctive color options as well — from deep greens like Mont Blanc Winter Pine to rich blues such as Mont Blanc Larkspur and Jet Indigo.

Full-grain aniline & aniline nubuck (Mont Blanc, Brompton, Berkshire, Brentwood, Burnham) develop rich patina and depth with use, only getting better over time.
Jet is a pigmented full-grain option with a uniform matte finish and added surface protection for easy care and everyday durability.

Can I customize the size, style, or design of my chair?

Yes. We can modify seat height, arm height, arm width, or back height, and even create scale diagrams within your floor plan to help visualize proportion and fit. Our design team can also build fully custom chairs beyond our standard collections — including transforming any of our chairs into a chaise if preferred. Do you make matching ottomans?

Yes. Most of our leather chairs can be paired with a matching ottoman, or we can create a custom ottoman if one doesn’t already exist for a particular style. Whether you’re looking for a reading chair with a companion ottoman or simply want to extend the comfort of your chair, our team can tailor the design to suit your space. What cushion and suspension options do you offer?

Our standard construction pairs full feather-and-down channeled back cushions with a seat cushion combining feather and down over a supportive foam core. Each seat cushion is serviceable, with a zippered envelope containing the feather-and-down topper and access to replace the foam core over time. For support, choose between optional eight-way hand-tied suspension or our heavy-gauge sinuous spring system — both built on kiln-dried hardwood frames for lasting durability and comfort.

How do I choose the right leather for my chair?

For rich patina and natural character, choose a full-grain aniline or aniline nubuck leather such as Mont Blanc, Brompton, Berkshire, Brentwood, or Burnham.
For a smooth, consistent look with added surface protection, choose Jet (pigmented full-grain).
